Goodbye, Classic Elements

September 25, 2009

We have disabled the adding of new classic elements, and are converting all of the Storago websites to use the new Page Element system.

The old classic elements used to be the only type of page element that you could add, and they included EVERYTHING that Storago could do. We wanted to add additional features to Storago, but we didn't want to overload you with too many options! Enter, Page Elements. These split out each section of the classic element into its own element. Now you could add just an image, or just a block of text.

What's the difference?

For the most part, your actual site should look exactly the same. In the Storago Dashboard, however, Headings, Text, Images and Galleries are all split into their own elements. You can rearrange them using the move arrows to the left of each item, as well as grouping items using the group button at the bottom of each page.

If you have any trouble using the new system, call us, or email and we will walk you though any point that you may be having difficulty with.
