New Storago.com Logo
February 22, 2008
When we upgraded Storago.com to run on the same StoragoCore system that our customers' sites use, we ended up reworking the visual theme of the site.
We took the opportunity to address a few issues. One of these was to better emphasize that Storago is a CMS service. It is a piece of technology, not the name of our company, and the header of our site now reflects this.
We've also replaced the old Storago.com logo with a new one. In our old logo, pictured here, we had three bars over the a, ascending up and to the right:

These were originally meant to be a stylistic staircase, representing ascension to a new level of excellence on the web. The idea never really came across well, and so we've replaced them with a similar visual concept bearing a more obvious message:

The new logo features broadcast waves to represent the communication power inherent in our sites, and they appropriately correspond with the introduction of our news feed syndication feature. We eliminated the red and blue from the logo text itself to open up more visual possibilities, and to reduce the likelihood of clashing colors when the logo is placed on checkout pages and other areas with diverse colors.
